This means the subtitler has no work to do for those components. | Dialogue | Narration | Graphics | Workflow? | Outcome | Notes | | --------- | --------- | --------- | ------------------ | ------------ | ------------------------------------------------------ | | Dedicated | OV | OV | ✅ Yes | N/A | Dedicated dialogue treated as OV, nothing to translate | | Dedicated | OV | Subtitled | ✅ Yes | Graphics SRT | Only graphics need translation | | Dedicated | OV | Dedicated | ✅ Yes | Graphics SRT | Only graphics script needed | | Dedicated | OV | Dedicated | ❌ Empty (`id: ''`) | N/A | Empty workflow ID = no workflow | *** ## Automated Localization (`auto = true`) When `workRequest.auto = true`, the system uses automated localization with different transcript IDs. | Dialogue | Graphics | Outcome | Transcripts | | --------- | --------- | ------------------- | ---------------------- | | Subtitled | OV | Full SRT | `_id` | | OV | Dedicated | Auto GFX | `autogfx` | | Subtitled | Dedicated | Auto GFX + Dialogue | `autogfx` + `dialogue` | *** ## Key Rules 1. **Dedicated Narration** is never treated as subtitled — it means the narration is dubbed/localized externally. 2. **Dedicated Dialogue without workflow** means dubbing is handled externally — the subtitler has nothing to do (N/A). 3. **Dedicated Dialogue with workflow** is treated as OV — the workflow manages the dubbing externally, and the subtitler has no work to do for that component. 4. **Dedicated Narration with workflow** is treated as OV — the workflow manages narration externally. 5. **Subtitled Graphics** are merged into the main SRT alongside dialogue/narration. 6. **Dedicated Graphics** are loaded as a separate transcript (Script Double up) when there's also dialogue/narration to translate. 7. **Dedicated Graphics alone** (no dialogue/narration to subtitle) still load as Graphics SRT — the graphics script is needed. 8. **Script Double up** occurs when dedicated graphics AND any dialogue/narration needs translation simultaneously. *** ## Code References * **`getTranscriptsForOrder()`** — `ui/3x/utils/orders.js` — determines which transcripts to load * **`getOrderMode()`** — `ui/3x/utils/orders.js` — returns mode string (`script`, `gfx`, `script+gfx`, `autogfx`) * **`fetchPageData()`** — `ui/3x/modules/hooks/use-subtitler-queries.js` — fetches and assembles subtitler data * **Unit tests** — `ui/3x/tests/unit/store/common.spec.js` — 43 tests covering all permutations * **Cypress E2E tests** — `ui/3x/cypress/e2e/subtitler.js` — 40 DNG permutation tests (36 rows + 4 workflow)
